Thank you for visiting HerpEden.com.  We are private breeders of Poison Dart Frogs, Bearded Dragons, Garter Snakes, Honduran Milk Snakes, and Ball Pythons.

We fully anticipated Spring 2010 being an exciting time.  It wasn't, as little new was happening until summer began!

We bred our Albino Tangerine Honduran Milk Snake pair for the first time.  Milk Snakes make wonderful pets, and these beauties are just stunning.  We were somewhat disappointed, as it didn't seem she took.  On July 15th, we found a clutch of 4 eggs!  We look forward to seeing our first ever hatchlings from this pairing.

Our Garter Snake pairings include Oregon Red-Spotted Garters, T.s. concinnus, Eastern "Florida Blue" morph garter snakes, T.s. sirtalis, and we have a 66% Possible Het for Albino Flame Female Eastern Garter who was bred to our Het Albino Flame Eastern Garter male, and backed up with the Florida Blue Garter male.  If we don't get any albino flames, we should at least get some very nice Flame Garters, with nice strong checkers.

On June 26th, our Florida Blue Eastern female Garter had a litter of 13 babies.  They are barely starting to color up, but are eating well on worms and pinky parts.  We look forward to possibly 2 more clutches of babies from the Flame and the Oregon.

Our Bearded Dragons had one viable clutch of eggs.  They are from our girl of unknown genetics, and fathered by our Moose, an Orange Tiger Beardie.  They will at least be het for Orange Tiger.  Other pairings are Moose, Orange Tiger, to Dolly our Orange Hypo girl, and Boots, a Leucistic Hypo het Snow to Dora, a Belgian Pastel. These beardies are beautiful, can't wait to see what they produce!

We have recently added Leopard Geckos to the breeding programs.  With their smiling faces and beautiful colors, we love this addition to the collection.  We had twins hatch out as well as a single, but the twins have since passed.  The twins we have had experience with tend to be a little bit weaker stock, unfortunately.  We have some eggs in the incubator now, and are eagerly anticipating the babies.

Our Dart Frogs continue to thrive, and the D. auratus continue to produce.  We have 11 froglets available now, and the auratus are always happy to oblige and produce more.  The leucs and azureus have been calling but we haven't gotten any eggs from them.  We're hoping they begin producing soon.

Ball Pythons have become a passion for Gary.  The genetics and morph combinations, while often complicated, are stunning.  The morphs Gary will be working with are Mojave, Pastel, Albino, and Piebald.  One breeding may have taken, and we'll see a small clutch of eggs rather soon if she's truly gravid, not just a little larger than before.

Gary bred his sunglow corns, but again, we're unsure if they took either.  If she's gravid, it will be another small clutch.  They are stunning oranges and yellows, and Corn Snakes make great first time snakes.  If you're looking to get a first snake for your family, these would make a beautiful choice.

We have some husbandry experiments planned for the babies this year, and some new products will be coming in the fall.  It's too early to disclose, but stay tuned for details!
