About
About Herp Eden is a manifestation of our love for Herpetofauna- especially snakes, lizards, and frogs. Stephi embraced her love of snakes with a Garter Snake at age 15. Gary began with a water snake at age 5, collected ringnecks and a black racer as a kid, and progressed to a ball python, bull snake, and a california king snake. His love for exotics expanded and he acquired iguanas- both a standard green, and one of an aquamarine color morph. A hedgehog, while not a herp, was another exotic companion of his. As adults, we have become much more educated, interested and passionate. After a short hiatus from the reptile/exotic worlds, our love for snakes was rekindled first, with Stephi's purchase of her two Florida Blue Eastern Garter snakes. Gary soon jumped back in with both feet, and the collection has grown and is in constant refinement. Our love of all things "Herp" has expanded, and our collection now includes frogs and lizards. Our "collection" include 0.1 Human- we have a little girl. She likes the animals we currently have, but has decided that her favorites are turtles and tortoises. It will be a few years before it will be appropriate to get a pet for her, but when that time comes, I'm sure some tortoises and turtles will make their way into our collection.
